This solenoid driver provides power to a load in a hazardousarea and can be switched on or off by a signal from a logiccircuit. Solenoid drivers are ideal for logic circuits, as relay-controlled drivers or power supplies for intrinsically safe solenoid valves, LEDs and audible alarms. This solenoid driver powers intrinsically safe equipment or anything classified as a simple device. The intrinsically safe outputsare fully floating and do not require an IS ground. Terminals7, 8 and 8, 9 can be connected to a logic circuit or a relay. The error signal switches on if the field impedance is greater than 10 k7 for lead breakage or less than 50 7 for short circuits. If used in conjunction with P+F's Power Rail system, the unique collective error messaging feature can be utilized.
